EURIMAGES grants for 7 EAVE producers
EURIMAGES has granted 5,85 Mio. Euro for 18 European co-productions, seven of them are produced or co-produced by EAVE graduates.
- BANISHED FROM THE HEAVENS by Andrei Schwartz, co-producer: EAVE 2008 graduate Tudor Giurgiu
- MAMAC by Aida Begic, co-producer: EAVE 2005 graduate Karsten Stöter
- RUN AND JUMP produced by Samson Films (EAVE 2001 graduate Martina Niland)
- NIGHTFALL IN INDIA by Chema Rodriguez, producer: EAVE 2007 graduate Kristina Åberg
- EAVE 2004 project AUGUST FOOLS by EAVE 2004 graduate Taku Makela, co-producer: EAVE 2012 participant Michal Kollar
- GIRAFFADA, co-produced by Heimatfilm (EAVE 2005 graduate Mathias Krause)
- HEAVEN ON EARTH, co-produced by Caviar Films (EAVE 2007 graduate Peter de Maegd and Daniel Lamberts)
Two of the first production funding awards by the new Hungarian National Film Fund went to EAVE co-productions:
- LIZA, THE FOX-FAIRY by Károly Ujj Mészáros co-producer: EAVE 2003 graduate Roshanak Behesht Nedjad
- ZERO by Gyula Nemes, co-producer: EAVE 2007 graduate Jiri Konecny
- ODE TO THE ORG by Margarita Jimeno is currently in development, producer: EAVE 2008 graduate Anna Byvald. The hybrid film is a mixture between documentary and fiction about a young artist who finds to a new self when falling in love with a nun.
- NIGHTFALL IN INDIA by Chema Rodriguez, producer: EAVE 2007 graduate Kristina Åberg, co-producer: EAVE 2010 graduate Marcian Lazar is in development. The film tells the story of a man with a degenerative disease who travels to India to die.
- IT’S ALL SO QUIET by Nanouk Leopold, executive producer: EAVE 1994 graduate Stienette Bosklopper is in pre-production. The film about a father-son relationship between an old farmer and his closet gay son is based on Gerbrand Bakker’s novel 'The Twin'. Financing: Film- und Medienstiftung NRW (Nordrhein-Westfalen), MEDIA Programme, Dutch Film Fund, CoBO (National Broadcasters Coproduction Fund) and VPRO. Shooting on locations in New Zealand and The Netherlands starts in February 2012
- MY FRIEND VIJAY by Sam Gabarski, producer: EAVE 2002 graduate Sebastien Delloye, co-producers EAVE 1994 graduate & group leader Diana Elbaum and EAVE Head of Studies Jani Thiltges is in development. The comedy tells the story of an actor in a children's program who learns from the news about his own tragic death and disguises himself at his funeral. Moritz Bleibtreu and Patricia Arquette play the leading roles. Support comes from Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and Film- und Medienstiftung NRW (Nordrhein-Westfalen).
