Another French box office in 2006: Days of Glory by Rachid Bouchareb, co-produced by EAVE 2000 graduate Jacques-Henri Bronckart (Versus Productions, B) has reached an incredible total of 3,088,967 admissions.
Paul Verhoeven's The Black Book, co-produced by EAVE 1995 graduate Jens Meurer scores the best local opening of the year 2006 in the Netherlands with 682,624 euros. It will go on to become the 3rd highest grossing film of the year in the Netherlands with 6.8 mio euros.
Cannes Golden Palm-winner The Wind that Shakes the Barley by Ken Loach, co-produced by EAVE 1991 graduate Ed Guiney (Element Films, IRL) was the third most popular film at the Irish box office in 2006 with over 3.7 mio. euros.
